Medbrook to officially change name to MedExpress Urgent Care

October 17 2011

Medbrook, Harrison County's trusted urgent care provider for more than 20 years, will officially be re-named MedExpress Urgent Care December 7. Medbrook merged with MedExpress in February 2008.

The re-named center will remain at its current location on Johnson Ave., and will continue to serve Harrison and surrounding counties. A second Bridgeport MedExpress is scheduled to open in early December on Jerry Dove Drive.

"Medbrook and MedExpress have long shared the same philosophy-providing great care that is focused on the unique needs of each patient, delivered by genuine and caring professionals," said MedExpress CEO, Frank Alderman, MD "Our staff and medical teams have long established a commitment to exceeding the expectations of our patients by providing quality urgent care that is friendly, convenient and affordable."

"While our name will change, our patients will continue to receive the same great care by the same great people. We'll just do so under the MedExpress name," said Medbrook founder Kelly Nelson, MD. "Since our partnership with MedExpress formed more than three years ago, we've shared a mutual commitment to providing our communities with great patient care. We look forward to taking this next step and to our future together serving our community under the MedExpress name."
