Doctor's Walk-In Clinic Officially Changes Name to MedExpress Urgent Care
February 15 2011
Doctor's Walk-In Clinic, a trusted urgent care provider in the
Tampa Bay market since 1980, has officially been re-named
MedExpress Urgent Care as of February 15, 2011. MedExpress acquired
the group of eight centers in January 2009. The re-named centers
will remain at their current locations and continue serving Tampa
Bay area residents. The inaugural MedExpress branded urgent care
center opened in Largo in mid-December.
"We're thrilled to be completing the final stage of converting
Doctor's Walk-In Clinic to MedExpress. The change is in name only.
The experience our patients have come to expect at Doctor's Walk-In
Clinic will still be there," said MedExpress CEO Frank Alderman,
MD. "Our staff and medical teams have long established a commitment
to exceeding the expectations of our patients by providing quality
urgent care that is friendly, convenient and affordable. These are
values we have always shared with Doctor's Walk-In Clinic."
"We look forward to continuing our service to the Tampa Bay area
as MedExpress Urgent Care," said Doctor's Walk-In Clinic Medical
Director Kimberly Gibson, MD. "Since our partnership with
MedExpress began two years ago, we've held a mutual commitment to
providing exceptional patient care to our community. Everyone is
excited to be taking the next step and looks forward to the
future."
